The Parenting Cottage of Lubbock presents

2008 Tour de Nine-Zero
May 3, 2008

Welcome and thank you for your interest in the 3nd Annual Tour de Nine-Zero.  Come on Friday night for free camping in beautiful and historic Roaring Springs at the Volunteer Center (located 3 blocks north of the square).  Saturday morning you will be sent on your way for bike tours of 7, 31, 50, 84, or 101 miles through the beautiful canyon ranchland.  Concurrent with the tour is the Highway 70 Garage Sale.  If you need a break, you can stop at one of the garage sales scattered along 30 miles of the tour.

This tour has been organized to raise awareness of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD).  The FASD program at the Parenting Cottage addresses the permanent developmental disability caused by the consumption of alcohol during pregnancy. Alcohol causes neurological damage that is more permanent  to an unborn child than cocaine, marijuana, and methamphetamines.  The Parenting Cottage urges NINE months of ZERO alcohol consumption for pregnant women.
